Welcome to the Bromsgrove U3A website.  Use the menus above and below (in blue) to navigate this site.

The University of the Third Age is an international movement, the idea being developed by French Universities to provide continued education as part of the national education for the retired population.  In Britain retired people have come together to provide both education and companionship for their own age group by forming U3A here.

There are no formal qualifications needed for membership.  It is a self-help organisation, offering opportunities to learn from each other, with everyone being encouraged to contribute their own particular skills, knowledge and experience.  Members are invited to volunteer to give talks, act as coordinaters or generally help in the running of their own group.

Bromsgrove members pay a small annual subscription.  This includes the national affiliation fee and covers general meetings, a copy of our own group programme and a copy of the U3A’s national newspaper “The Third Age”.

Activities can be organised as members wish – have you a hidden talent you can share?
